As part of the Africa Regional COO’s team, the Senior Manager, Operations will play an integral role in supporting the Africa COO in helping all the Africa regional firms meet the Trust and Growth ambitions, promoting consistency and collaboration, so that KPMG becomes the Clear Choice for clients and talent. The role represents an exciting opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders across the Africa Region.


Responsibilities


The Senior Manager (Operations) – Office of Africa Region COO will have the following primary responsibilities:



  • Support the Africa COO in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Africa COO including the Africa Region business planning, budgeting, management of the investment portfolio, marketing and communications, stakeholder management, quality and risk management, people, and culture.

  • Represent the Africa COO in Regional meetings as required.


The Senior Manager - Operations will report directly to the Africa Regional COO.


Deliverables and accountabilities


Strategy and Execution:



  • Work across the Africa region to coordinate the collation and consolidation of the Africa Region Plans.

  • Monitor the implementation of agreed initiatives, programs and prepare periodic report on status of Africa Region Plans


Operations:



  • Support the Africa COO in coordinating the business planning, management reporting and budget activities for the Africa Region with all relevant stakeholders and functional leaders

  • Support the Africa COO in driving the operational and technology strategy development and execution across Africa

  • Monitor, review and recommend initiatives to the Africa COO to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency across Africa

  • Monitor and report on utilization of the Global Delivery Network across Africa


Driving 2% MarketShare Gain



  • Support the Africa COO in monitoring and reporting on the status of deployment of agreed Regional investments; engage with all relevant stakeholders and functional leaders across Africa to collate information on return on investments

  • Monitor and report on status of inorganic growth strategy and plans for the Region


Requirements


You’ll help our teams succeed if you have:



  • Minimum of second class (upper division) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in an appropriate field

  • Minimum of 8-12 years relevant experience. 

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

  • Strong teamwork ability and able to work independently

  • Drive and resilience and ability to thrive in a team environment

  • Prior Big 4 experience is a plus
