Our client is a leading Brand in the Food and Beverage Industry. They are looking to urgently employ Water Treatment and Syrup Operators in their Quality Assurance Department in their Lagos office.
Water Treatment Technician Responsibilities:
- Monitor chemical feed and other system components.
- Monitor effectiveness of treatment.
- Prepare and maintain records of meter readings, tests, equipment, chemical use, correspondence, and customer complaint log.
- Develop a maintenance plan for the treatment plant and distribution system.
- Regularly read meters and gauges, making adjustments as needed.
- Periodically flush distribution system using hydrants and blow-off valves.
- Conduct preventive and routine maintenance on facilities and equipment.
- Periodically assess efficiency of system components (e.g., pumps and valves).
- Conduct frequent system and security inspections.
- Update system maps when a significant change to the distribution system has been made.
- follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Syrup Technician Responsibilities:
- Conduct Qualitative and quantitative analysis of all manufactured syrups.
- Report any anomalies in syrup making process.
- Prepare batch as per the production plan.
- Ensure process is run as per the quality mandate and appoint schedule of testing.
- Ensure CIP is run a per the CIP mandate and ensure proper data recording.
- Ensure basic running maintenance is done to ensure quality performance.
- Write all key shift information in log book & ensure proper hand over and take over during the shift change.
- Ensure operational safety is done before machine start up.
- Ensure syrup availability as per the production plan.
- Ensure food safety requirements, GHK / Hygiene/process standard are met and appropriate action is taken if required
- Transfer correct amount sugar in the finished syrup tank as per the recipe.
- Handle any trouble shooting in the syrup room.
- Maintain syrup logbook accordance with UNBS standard.
- Ensure there is enough/correct Flavor and dry ingredients for batch preparation at the beginning & end of every shift
- Check all drain valves and ensure sampling point are closed during transfer of flavor, dry ingredients and sugar in the finished syrup tank.
Requirements:
- ND/HND/BSc in Chemistry/Biology/Food Sciences and any relevant science courses
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in related field.
- Availability for immediate employment may also be an advantage

- Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn new operating systems
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication.
