JOB DESCRIPTION


To plan, organize and control production and ensure that garments are produced efficiently, on time, and to standard.


Duties and Responsibilities




  • Plan, Implement and control the  production schedule for the job




  • Review and adjust the schedule where needed




  • Determine the human/material resources required that will meet production targets (i.e. number of people needed to complete a process)




  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement




  • Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations and ensuring the standard operating procedures are adhered to




  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures




  • Set product quality standards and ensure the standards are adhered to.




  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems to meet quality objectives.




  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process




  • Prepare and maintain production reports




  • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement




  • Estimate production costs and set and manage production budgets




  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant processes including procurement, distribution and management




Education and Experience




  • Bachelor's Degree / HND / OND. B.Sc.




  • High school degree.




  • Experience: 2 - 4 years




  • Proven work experience as a tailor




  • Preferably a female.




  • knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques, of raw materials, quality systems/ standard, process improvement techniques
