Responsibilities And Functions



  • Manage and oversee the recruitment and onboarding of researchers Set up governance and peer review structure

  • Oversee general research work on selected topics and work hand in hand with the necessary parties to facilitate the organization’s writing project.

  • Supervise research reports drafted in furtherance of the organization’s writing projects.

  • Ensure that proper legal advice on issues is given to ensure that decisions taken in furtherance of the organization’s writing project are legally correct and that the organization’s interests are protected.

  • Spell out terms, work on agreements for each writer Organize and coordinate the work of every member of the team to ensure productivity Compilation of foreword, preface, contents, cases, statutes and other preliminaries, proofreading of each draft, arranging, checking for quality of submission and sequence of thoughts/flow from one chapter to the other

  • Optimize project deliverables, schedules and budgeting Manage writers to ensure that manuscript is ready for publishing.

  • Research on foreign publishers and negotiate to obtain the best publishing deals for book publication

  • Maintain proper project documentation throughout the project lifecycle

  • Undertake such other duties/assuming such other responsibilities as are assigned from time


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, English or a related field (Having a Master's Degree is an added advantage)

  • Minimum of Second Class (Upper) Division

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Google Docs, and Project Management tools.

  • 3+ years of experience in project management

  • Experience with book publishing processes Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Strong editorial and research skills.
