Responsibilities



  • Recommending and implementing policies that facilitate the acquisition, retention, and motivation of human resources to ensure that human resources effectively and efficiently support business goals.

  • Directing and managing the entire workforce to ensure that they are appropriately motivated, trained and developed, and can carry out responsibilities to required standards and statutory requirements.

  • formulating and initiating a master plan to cultivate and propagate a positive corporate culture that reflects the Values of the organization.

  • Implementing instructions and directives related to the recruitment, deployment, compensation, training, and termination of employees.

  • Coordinating with other departments the process of promotion, transfer and termination of employees and the deployment of new recruits for employment.

  • Enforcing employee discipline, strict observance of Employee Code of Business Conduct, and compliance to terms of employment.

  • Championing the maintenance of a high level of morale, integrity and motivation of all employees.

  • Monitoring employee attendance, absences, tardiness, and ailment of vacation and sick leaves. and implementing corresponding action in accordance with the Employee Manual.  

  • Developing and implementing performance metrics to gauge the productivity of employees.

  • Taking a lead role in the conduct of the Employee Performance Evaluation program, and front lining the Employee Performance Improvement process.


Requirements


The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily:



  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in Human Resources

  • BSC or HND from a reputable institution

  • Thorough knowledge of Labour laws and regulations.

  • Ability to apply the basic management functions and principles

  • Ability to plan and organize activities of others

  • Excellent people management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Knowledge of the use of HRIS 

  • Excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
