As Engineering lead, you will also work directly with our Data Science, Product, and Management teams to deliver features that improve our customer's experiences and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize and solve ongoing business requirements for a rapidly growing Digital Bank


• Gather and analyze information to generate actionable insights


• Support the business on go-to-market strategy for early concepts. From planning to implementation to delivery


• Monitor our external environment (e.g., market conditions, competitive pressures, regulatory landscape) and derive implications for the business


• Drive alignment on priorities across key business functions through our strategic planning.


• Craft, code, test, and launch new features


• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products


• Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule


• Manage a team of engineers and help build the culture at Umba

Skills And Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience


• 8+ years of experience building systems software engineering


• Team management experience


• Strong understanding of computer architecture and CS fundamentals


• Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Java, Go, Python, C/C++

Preferred Qualifications:

• Detailed problem-solving approach


• Track record of projects completed on time - you are a self-starter & an executor who is results-oriented
