Responsibilities

• Evaluating new technologies and determining when they should be incorporated into the company’s products or services


• Developing a comprehensive short term and long-term technology plan for the company, including any required training for employees


• Developing new products based on emerging technology trends in order to stay ahead of competitors


• Coordinating with other departments to ensure that all products meet customer needs


• Managing the company’s technology staff, Providing leadership in the development of new technology applications or processes


• Creating detailed project plans for technology projects, including both capital expenditures and operating expenses


• Reviewing existing technology systems to determine areas for improvement


• Monitoring industry trends to identify new opportunities for the company’s products or services


• Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.


• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.


• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.


• Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of IT projects to market.


• Managing technology budgets and time frames.


• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.Professional/ educational

Qualification/Skills:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as computer science, computer engineering or software engineering.


• Mininimum of 4-5 years relevant experience.


• Masters degree is an added advantage.


• Excellent understanding of computer languages, such as C++, C#, Java, Python and Perl.


• Excellent managerial and leadership roles.


• Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
