JOB DESCRIPTION



  • Develop and oversee recruitment processes

  • Oversee all employee engagement for the company and its subsidiaries and manage the new hire on-boarding and exit process.

  • Annually review the Employee Handbook recommending amendments needed due to changes in company policies, rules and regulations and/or labour laws

  • Facilitate job analysis and update job descriptions.

  • Develop, in conjunction with other heads of department, key performance indicators for all employees

  • Design appraisal form for all employees

  • Monthly/Quarterly coordinate performance appraisal of all employees

  • Prepare monthly payroll for the payment of salary

  • Review employee final payments for accuracy and compliance with labour laws

  • Evaluate the need for employee training and development and make recommendations.

  • Coordinate internal training and update training records

  • Investigate employee relations issues & work to ensure human resources related decisions are consistent and fair

  • Ensure smooth running of all administrative functions in the company


JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • BSc./BA Human Resources Management or any other related discipline

  • Master’s Degree/MBA in Human Resources or related discipline is an added advantage

  • Minimum of 10 years-Experience in  Human Resources with at least 5 years of which must be as a Human Resource department lead/head

  • A qualified member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) or any other related professional body

  • Experience in maritime/security industry will be an added advantage

  • Must be familiar with Nigeria Labour Laws and regulations governing Human Resources Practitioners in Nigeria

  • Ability to work with other managers to assess complex issues pragmatically.

  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, analyse situations and make decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

  • Ability to interact with and lead employees at various levels.

  • Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources.

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
