Key Responsibilities
Provide effective operational management by planning, supervising, and managing operational tasks in assigned locations working with direct reports.
Responsible for the operational efficiency of the business and focusing on continuous improvement in line with the company’s objective.
Oversee and manage operational costs & expenses through effective management of resources and support the business to optimize costs & benefits.
Implement, monitor, maintain and continually improve the quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards & total quality management.
Ensure proper reporting and analytics that relate to site operations are captured for management decision making and action.
Ensure adequate procurement logistics and avoid stock-out or over-stocking.
Monitor procurement and daily administration.
Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.
Maintaining relationships with suppliers/vendors while continually scouting for additional vendors
Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable.
Requirements
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or any management field would be an added advantage.
Not less than 2 years Supervisory experience
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Good leadership and management skills
Good organizational skill Ability to pay attention to details.
Adequate business acumen
Proficient in the use of MS Office Application. Educational Qualifications / Experience:
Minimum of University degree in Accounting / Economics / Statistics / Supply Chain
Professional certification in Supply Chain / Project management is a must.
Not less than 8 years continued work experience in a structured environment.
Very well experienced in procurement. Good budget control and reporting skills
