Responsibilities

• Overseeing the entire Accounting Processes and System of the bank


• Authorization of Payment Schedules and Payment/Expense Vouchers


• Preparation of Management Accounts and Financial Reporting


• Preparation and Rendition of Returns to Regulatory Authorities (CBN, NDIC, CAC) on a Monthly or Quarterly Basis


• Budget Preparation, Controls, Monitoring and measurement of Performances


• Liaising with Tax Authorities, External Auditors, CBN and NDIC Authorities


• Income and Expenditure Monitoring and Controls


• Anchoring of the Bank’s Monthly Performance Reviews (MPR)


• Generation of all Financial Reports and other indices as may be required by Management or board of directors


• Capital/Investment Expenditure Controls & Monitoring


• Liaising with Insurance Companies and Monitoring of Insurance Contracts


• Liaising with Correspondent Banks & Supervision/Coordination of Internet Banking


• Attending Management Committee, Credit Committee, Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO), Product Review and IT Steering Committee Meetings


• Reviews Payroll and all Allowances before Payment


• Reviews Monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements as prepared by Finance Officer


• Any Other Duty as may be assigned by Management


• Treasury & Liquidity Management


• Periodic Checking of Accounts/Review of the GL


• Preparation of Pay Roll and All Allowances in liaising with HR


• Fixed Asset Register and Assets Management


• Liaising With Correspondent Banks and Account Officers


• Liaising with Contractors and Service Providers


• Investment Management and Business Generation Functions


• Shareholders’ and Customers’ Investment Management
