Job Description
To support the deal execution process through analysis, research and preparation of financial models and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform investment & deal structuring analysis, prepare investment appraisal documents, develop detailed financial models, perform valuation analysis, and make presentations on potential deals to the investment committee.
- Manage major workstreams of the due diligence process.
- Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
- Provide ongoing analytical support on portfolio management and value creation activities.
- Prepare valuation reports on portfolio companies.
- Prepare PowerPoint and Word reports summarizing research, analyses, and investment recommendations.
- Liaise with fund managers and network with industry professionals.
- Carry out research and intelligence gathering activities that will support pipeline development of efforts of senior team members.
- Monitor the financial press closely and keep a track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products.
- Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios.
- Support senior management on other company initiatives.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree from an accredited/reputable tertiary institution, preferably in Economics. accounting, sciences or engineering.
- Ideally 3-5 years’ work experience in investment banking or private equity.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Previous private equity experience is not essential but will be an advantage.
