Responsibilities
- Carry out reconciliation of bank Account positions.
- Raise journal entries to update inflow and outflow of funds
- Carry out performance tracking for market facing staff members.
- Ensure monthly remittances of tax deductions for both Federal and Lagos State Tax Authorities.
- Prepare monthly depreciation schedule of the organisation’s fixed assets and monthly amortization of outstanding prepared expenses.
- Maintain the schedule of prepaid expenses of the organisation.
- Appropriate coding of transaction/expense voucher in line with proper accounting system.
- Daily review of general ledgers for accuracy.
- Prepare, monitor and control the performance of departmental budgets in accordance with the strategic plan of the organisation.
Relevant Skills, Qualification, Attributes & Experience
- HND / University Degree in Banking, Accounting, Economics or other related field
- Associate Member of Professional body e.g. ACCA, ICAN is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial services.
- IFRS experience strongly desired.
- Knowledge of the insurance regulations and laws.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications Excel /Microsoft Office/Banking Application
- Good written and oral communication.
