Job Description
Job Purpose:
Cashier shall be responsible for receiving and making petty cash payments and issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities;
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
- Collect payments whether in cash or credit
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change
- Issuing out approved payment of petty cash
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
- Sending out monthly report to HOD on a weekly/monthly basis on transactions made.
Reporting
- Daily activity reports (Time sheets) and weekly performance reports.
