- As the General Manager of the Lounge, you would be responsible for leading the Lounge operation to meet and exceed the values and standards set forth by the stakeholders.
- Your focus will be to produce an exceptional guest experience in the lounge's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and generate financial profitability
- Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide a positive guest experience through quality, safety, and strong customer service
- Lead the Assistant General Manager, Floor Sales Manager, and Operations Manager
- Oversee the lounge departments to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality are provided to guests
- Coordinate all staff to create specific, measurable, achievable, and realistic game plans in order to provide our guests with a memorable experience
- Reconcile system drops and make bank deposits
- Maintain Overall Service and Cleanliness scores to stay compliant with Brand Standards
- Resolve any guest-related service issues
- Conduct weekly staff meetings with department managers to stay current with any issues/concerns, groups, policies/procedures
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward
- Continuously improve the daily performance of the floor operations team and hotel department
- Evaluate with each department head their identified goals and the action steps to achieve them within the acknowledged length of time
- Approve department schedules to stay within budgeted guidelines
- Ensure the property stays up to date with any federal, state, local and company regulations
- Conduct property walks and unit inspections on a daily basis
- Complete special projects/assignments as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager
- 6+ years of Lounge or food and beverage management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management
- Experience working with Accounting/Sales Inventory systems
- Optimism and a hardworking drive to succeed
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to "roll your sleeves up" when needed
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
