The ideal candidate will solely be in charge of running the affairs of the chamber.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages all lawyers in the chambers


• prepares periodic progress reports on activities of the chambers


• Manages, supervises and co-ordinates the work of all staff in the chamber


• Provides executive management advice and guidance to ensure the integration of the policies, work plans, programme and all objectives of the chamber


• Monitors and keeps track of all matters in the chamber


• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for clients where necessary


• Represents the chambers at meetings or workshops involving strategic planning and management, financial and business planning.


• Reviews and evaluates operating policies and practices and recommends corrective actions for improvement where required.


• Recommends the budgetary requirements of the chambers on the basis of appropriate plans and assists in the preparation of estimates of expenditure.


• Acts as the point of contact for all clients.


• Acts as an interface between the clients and the chamber

 REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• A minimum of LL.M or B.L Degree is required


• At least 10 years legal professional experience with 3 years as Head of Chamber


• Ability to work independently and reliably


• Strong drafting and litigation skill


• Good knowledge of commercial and property law


• Strong mediation and arbitration skills


• Good and Effective leadership skill


• Strong communication and time management skills


• Excellent business development skills
