Installers are responsible for ensuring proper and timely installation of systems and devices for the organization. An Installation Technician often performs several tasks within a single service call and handles all aspects of the installation process.
Job Responsibilities
Traveling to residential homes and businesses for service calls.
Consulting with customers to locate wiring and outlets for cable box, modem and hardwire installations.
Determining if additional electrical assistance is required.
Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions.
Documenting all tasks performed at each service appointment.
Providing written and verbal instructions to customers on how to operate alarm systems, remote controls and other equipment.
Testing functionality and performance following system installations.
Job Requirements
Candidates should possess an NCE / OND qualification with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
Good communication skills when coordinating with team members and customers.
Physical stamina when standing or kneeling for extended periods of time.
Clear understanding and knowledge of up-to-date electronic, cable, satellite, and other systems
Willingness to train on company-specific technical equipment
Problem-solving skills to handle repairs and equipment issues during service calls.
Good customer service skills when working directly with residential customers.
