Job Description



Responsible for:         


The role is to cover the overall business development activities of the Company unto new businesses and operational focus, while reporting to the Operations director.  


Key Responsibilities: 


Team Management



  • Full management of the business development team covering processes, projects and partners.

  • Following trends already outlined, BDM will engage the team unto productivity while focusing on Marine as the business development scope.


Full BD Activity Management



  • Develop growth strategies and plans

  • Increase client base and negotiate with stakeholders of potential clients

  • Manage in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition

  • Create business proposals

  • Effectively identify and map out business strengths in relation to identified clients’ needs.

  • Develop further opportunities for growth


Full Scope for Research and Development



  • Research on and develop business opportunities and viable income streams

  • Follow industry trends locally and internationally and advise team on activities as related to current trends and as well draft and review trends

  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements


Client Relationship Management



  • Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients while increasing the Company’s Client base.

  • Maintain existing relationship with Total, while opening up and developing opportunities for asset integrity management and subsea opportunities

  • Develop client relationship with MPN unto marine and subsea opportunities


International Partnerships and Strategies



  • Develop effective strategies that will aid international partnerships in line with the Company’s operational scope

  • Maintain relationships with existing partners while developing new partnership opportunities in line with identified projects and advertised tenders

  • Attend OTC meetings unto strategic networking and communication with identified/potential partners.


Tendering Management



  • Own and fully manage the NIPEX tendering processes unto ensuring frequent bids and tender packaging


Requirements:



  • Minimum Experience: 5 – 12 years experience in Business Development function. Experience in Marine Oil and Gas sector, including international experience dealing with global clients



  • Legal and commercial skills to be able to deal with contractual and financial conditions in contracts and tenders

  • Ability to maximize revenue through increased sales activities for new and existing clients

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentation to customers and other stakeholders

  • Masters degree is an added advantage

  • Exceptional market and customer awareness to trending news and updates in the oil and gas sector and good presentation skills



  • High level of personal and professional integrity
