Supervisor: IT Officer

Overall Responsibility
- Supports the IT Officer to oversee all aspects of the country office’s information systems to ensure network administration, hardware and application management, security, user support and administrative functions are all properly managed.
- S/He updates the inventory of all equipment, network documentation and provides desktop support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management:
- Perform installation, maintenance and updating of local area network components, peripherals, printers, network nodes, terminals, and wiring, in accordance with HKI standards.
- Monitor the internet connectivity for the office in such a way to maximize the operation and efficiency of the office.
- Perform routine maintenance, event tracking and performance monitoring duties; configuration and security tasks.
Network Administration:
- Report to the IT Officer and help maintain the stability and performance of the country office Local Area Network and Wireless Local Area Network, performing quality control, troubleshooting steps and working with vendors and service providers to isolate, diagnose and resolve network problems.
PC and Application Management:
- Perform PC configurations, per HKI IS Standards
- Perform application installation, configuration, testing and upgrade tasks, per HKI IS Standards
User Support:
- Provide desktop support services to office staff, performing problem identification and resolution for user problems.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a combination of relevant education and experience
- Very strong Excel
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing
- Willingness and ability to travel within Nigeria.
