Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively seek and explore opportunities to expand the region’s customer base through proactive exploration of potential new partners, encouraging and driving cross-selling of ECS Retail products.
- Carry out market research and competitor analyses to identify leverage potential for the business.
- Build and maintain active relationships with key clients in the region and closely work with them to achieve sustained performance and growth.
- Follow up on leads generated through exhibitions and promotional events to engage prospective customers.
- Facilitate the back-end process from payment confirmation to supply of equipment to installation and commissioning.
- Monitor own performance and ensure target achievement by analyzing sales data and providing interventions to support the realization of the target.
- Keep abreast with trends and developments in Sales and across key segments, identify useful leverage opportunities, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Generate and send activity reports for the line manager's attention.
Minimum Qualifications
- A First Degree or its equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, or any relevant discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of industry experience in a similar organization.
- Sound Knowledge of B2B Sales strategies.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- High degree of independence, and objectivity.
- Ideal candidate must be results and target driven.
- Demonstrate a high degree of resilience, able to tactfully deal with difficult people to gain buy-in.
- Possess analytical skills with a strategic thinking focus to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
- Clear and logical thinker with a strong numeric ability surrounded by a rounded commercial awareness.
- Ability to build effective relationships, influence, and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at every level of seniority.
- Effective priority setting skills; adept at handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Highly creative with the ability to think out of the box.
- Possess external awareness of recent industry happenings.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to respond to change.
