Job Purpose

• To maintain vendor relationships between businesses and suppliers, negotiating best prices and material. creating and implementing best Practices, and finding the best available vendors.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers


• Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements


• Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers


• Monitor and control and further update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing


• Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production


• Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favourable to the company


• Attend CFT meetings with the legal team, engineering team, vendors and suppliers


• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.


• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.


• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.


• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.


• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.


• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.


• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.


• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.


• Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.


• Preparing procurement reports.

Academic Requirements

• A Degree (Preferably Engr. or packaging background)


• Minimum of Ten (10) years’ experience in Procurement of RM/PM & NON BOM material, Expert in inventory management, Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (Navision).
