Job Purpose

• This role serves to maintain risk-free work environment and ensuring compliance from all stakeholders of the business.


• This role will focus on proactively ensuring compliance to directives and regulations. Also ensuring that the business is risk free.

Responsibilities / Key Accountable

• Develop and oversee control systems to prevent/ deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.


• Revise procedures and reports periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.


• Work collaboratively with the company’s external auditors to execute a reliance-based testing strategy.


• Deliver and communicate audit results to executive management.


• Manage the process of accessing the adequacy, effectiveness and compliance of the internal controls utilized to contain risks.


• Determine, plan and supervise the delivery of the business’ risk-based audit plan.


• Drive the delivery of assigned work on time, within agreed budget and in accordance with audit methodology and agreed quality standards.


• Provide thought leadership to management and the compliance team in terms of leading internal audit and internal control practices.

Required Education/ Experience / Skills

• Minimum of B.Sc in Finance / Accounting or any other related discipline


• Relevant professional qualification is required


• 5 years+ experience in similar role from an FMCG/Audit environment.


• Good knowledge of FIRS and other statutory regulations/ policies.


• Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach.


• Strong ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
