We are looking for an experienced and talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for social media broadcasting.

Ultimately, as a Film and Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story.

The role is full-time and fully remote.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience


• Be able to translate none audio-visual content into audio-visuals


• You will source for and use non-copyrighted assets in creating videos


• Take a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications


• Demonstrated fluency in creating animated videos


• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity


• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film


• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects


• Create rough and final cuts


• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running


• Consult with stakeholders from production to the post-production process


• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Good knowledge of relevant copyright laws and regulations


• Proven work experience as a Video Editor


• Good understanding of social media KPIs and a track record of meeting them


• Excellent multi-tasking skills


• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills


• Team player


• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut)


• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio


• Creative mind and storytelling skills


• Ability to convert non-audiovisual content into audio-visual
