Job Description
You’ll focus on:
- Reviewing the ESG, Waste Management plans, copanonal Health and Safety Policy plan of the company and drive compliance across all departments.
- Reviewing all federal government laws and practices within the business and drive compliance,
- Organizing constant awareness programs to ensure all employees are in compliance with the
Operating standards of the organisation.
- Ensuring that the workplace is monitored and is fully in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, rules and regulations in order to maintain safety in manufacturing facilities
- Ensuring that Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained, and communicated to employees
- Ensuring the results of safety inspections are documented; monitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents
- Ensuring that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same
- Recommending control measures and advising on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
- Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the Arnergy’s operations
- Ensuring the results of safety inspections are documented; monitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents
- Ensuring adherence to IFC performance standards including Assessment and management of Environmental and Social Risk and Impacts, Labour and Working Condition, Resource Efficiency and Pollution Prevention.
- Ensuring ESG related risk and opportunities are embedded in their long-term strategy and value.
- Preparing Sustainability reports including E&S Monitoring reports and development impact reports.
- Ensuring ESG related risk and opportunities are embedded in their long-term strategy and value.
- Doing everything else as required by your line manager.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
You'll be a good fit for this role if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree and above, with professional qualifications in ESG/HSE and Safety Management Systems, or related International Standards.
- Years’ experience in Environment, Health and Safety management, should be in a supervisory capacity in HSE related roles.
- Working knowledge in HSE Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, HSE Auditing Techniques etc.
- Experience implementing OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration) programs, managing emergency response incidents, implemented corrective actions, conducting or leading training in applicable OSHA areas and evaluating programs, issuing recommendations etc.
- Good training & communication skill, capable of developing and delivering ESG related training
