Implementing and monitoring of financial controls in respect of expenses, materials procurement and utilization as it affects production.
Initial development then preparation of Management accounts and Finance Reports within the agreed timescale.
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports for use by senior management.
Monitor Compliance with approved Annual Estimates (Budget) and Long Term Plan.
Generate and follow up production and other variance reports compare with budget (annual estimates), report and investigate variances.
Monthly assessment and review of stocks and provisions to determine their adequacy.
Preparation of monthly income statement for management use.
Follow up and resolve audit comments and implement workable suggestion.
Managing the accounts payable function
Managing the accounts receivable, alerting Management about problem accounts
Payroll processing and other associated payroll tasks
Answering phone inquiries and handling complaints in a courteous, professional manner
Ensuring office supplies are maintained, including checking inventory and working with vendors to ensure adequate levels of necessary supplies at all times
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
Coordinating schedules, arranging meetings, distributing memos and reports and ensuring that everyone is kept current of necessary company news and information
Knowledge and Skills
Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
Good organizational and time-management abilities
BSc/HND Accounting or other Social Science subjects
Willingness to grow with the company
Proven work experience as an Accounts/Administrative Officer
Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
Hands-on experience with accounting software and Microsoft office
Previous working experience in a furniture/Interior company is an added advantage
