Job Description

• Reporting to the Production Supervisor the Mayonnaise process (FRYMA) Operator operates the machine in the mayonnaise unit. The role involves operating the machine to achieve desired out while working within acceptable GMP and GDP guidelines.


• To produce mayonnaise and carry out CIP before production and ensure Fryma machine is in order.


• Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery


• Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process


• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment


• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops


• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high-quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials


• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle


• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)


• Follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices.


• Housekeeping and sanitation


• All health and safety procedures to be followed


• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area

• Complying with food safety guidelines as provided in quality and safety standards as updated from time to time under different standards.


• Performs other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Minimum of ND Certificate or B.Sc Degree

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of Three years’ work experience as a Mayonaise Process (Fryma machine) operator in a manufacturing firm

• Understanding of production and plant processes


• Analytical and numerical skills: the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement

• Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time


• Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
