 The Role


The primary role of the ERM is to plan, design, monitor and implement risk management processes and programs. You will be responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and manage PCSL’s strategic and operational risks.


 What You’ll Do



  • Identify and manage risks to the organization, its employees, stakeholders, assets, and operations and develop ERM strategies, objectives and policies that will establish the framework, tools, and procedures to achieve successful risk identification and management within best practice standards.

  • Engage and develop effective working relationships to support cooperative responses to risk management matters and issues.

  • Provide guidance and training to promote risk control awareness, ownership, and accountability across PCSL.

  • Oversee and monitor the operational risk management activities of the organization.

  • Monitor and analyze risks within PCSL’s business units and effectively report these risks to PCSL’s Senior Management Team and the Board Risk Committee.


Our Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required. Master’s degree or equivalent higher education degree is preferred with a minimum of two years of progressively complex experience in a Business or Corporate environment.

  • Knowledge of industry risk frameworks like COSO, ISO31000

  • Practical knowledge of the tools and techniques used in Enterprise Risk Management. For example, building and managing Self-Certification risk frameworks for business teams.

  • The ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timeframes and expectations; demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation skills; to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing.

  • A working knowledge of information technology, particularly how RMIS/RMOS systems and applications integrate with business processes and operations.

  • A demonstrated ability to perform analytical and detail-oriented tasks.


 Our Preferred Candidate



  • Experience working directly with a Chief Risk Officer and Benefits and/or Property Casualty risk pool programs.

  • Training in ERM services (i.e., Risk Assessment Process, Model Development, RMOS/RMIS)

  • Degrees or Certifications in an accounting or finance management field (i.e.: CPA, CMA, CGAP, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience in managing commercial finance programs.

  • Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing risk in a financial services organization.

  • Must be a finisher and able to follow through tasks to completion

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an exceptional stakeholder management skill.
