Monitor and control tank farm operations through approved automated system

THE JOB

• Accept oil products into storage facilities in accordance with established procedures.


• Assist with calibration of equipment’s


• Be able to delegate and direct task effectively, safely and fairly to operators


• Follow and adhere strictly to all Rom oil policies and procedures as well as those directed by the line manager


• Adhere to safety, environmental, quality standards in accordance with rom oil policies


• Maintain oil inventories and sending of Daily report to appropriate quarters


• General inspection of Trucks meant for loading of edible oils at tank farm


• Operates Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) computer workstation and monitoring of total pipeline and tank system operations


• Monitor pressures, flows to insure pipeline/pump integrity


• Recommends effective policy and procedural enhancements for departmental operations as necessary.


• Collect and document refined oil samples for the laboratory to perform routine laboratory tests


• Assist in the routine maintenance of machinery in Tank Farm unit


• Ensure the safety of self and others in the line of duty


• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management


• Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process


• Understand the company’s food safety policy, its objective, and the benefits of an improved food safety management system.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have strong communication skills.


• Possess excellent trouble shooting & problem-solving skills.


• Be detail oriented, resourceful, and able to work both independently and within a group setting.

QUALIFICATION

• NABTEB/ Trade Test.


• OND in Engineering related course is an added advantage.


• 5 O’ level credits including English & Mathematics in not more than 2 sittings.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.


• knowledgeable experience on the operation of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).


• Standardizing work processes and leading improvement initiatives.
