Monitor and control tank farm operations through approved automated system
THE JOB
- Accept oil products into storage facilities in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with calibration of equipment’s
- Be able to delegate and direct task effectively, safely and fairly to operators
- Follow and adhere strictly to all Rom oil policies and procedures as well as those directed by the line manager
- Adhere to safety, environmental, quality standards in accordance with rom oil policies
- Maintain oil inventories and sending of Daily report to appropriate quarters
- General inspection of Trucks meant for loading of edible oils at tank farm
- Operates Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) computer workstation and monitoring of total pipeline and tank system operations
- Monitor pressures, flows to insure pipeline/pump integrity
- Recommends effective policy and procedural enhancements for departmental operations as necessary.
- Collect and document refined oil samples for the laboratory to perform routine laboratory tests
- Assist in the routine maintenance of machinery in Tank Farm unit
- Ensure the safety of self and others in the line of duty
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
- Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process
- Understand the company’s food safety policy, its objective, and the benefits of an improved food safety management system.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have strong communication skills.
- Possess excellent trouble shooting & problem-solving skills.
- Be detail oriented, resourceful, and able to work both independently and within a group setting.
QUALIFICATION
- NABTEB/ Trade Test.
- OND in Engineering related course is an added advantage.
- 5 O’ level credits including English & Mathematics in not more than 2 sittings.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- knowledgeable experience on the operation of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
- Standardizing work processes and leading improvement initiatives.
