Role Positioning and Objectives



  • Contribute to the performance of the Nigeria Area Supply Chain Department by ensuring that just–in–time availability of Finished Goods to meet customer needs, while minimising damaged or written off stock.

  • Also, overseeing the optimal operations of Finished Goods stores within a safe environment in accordance with EHS and housekeeping guidelines.


What You Will Be Accountable For



  • Ensure prompt loading & off-loading of Finished goods in FGS.

  • Introduce FGS strategy framework to sustained GBNL requirement

  • Proper Stock and Warehouse Management to ensure storage and handling of Finished Goods are done as per BAT best practice.

  • Maintain 100% stock accuracy throughout the year.

  • Develop and coach direct reports to ensure that talented individuals feel motivated and can progress.

  • Identify, develop and coach potential successors.

  • Conduct staff appraisal

  • Motivate, guide and make recommendation for disciplinary action.

  • Manage the EHS and housekeeping procedures within the warehouses and ensure strict adherence.

  • Manages and reports the status of all material handling equipment to ensure their maintainability and avoid equipment failure.

  • Sound working relationship with local service providers

  • Maintain good working relationships with internal customers.

  • Maintain good working relationship with all other warehousing staff.

  • Advise management on opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness of the warehousing functions.


Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge



  • A B.Sc or HND from any reputable institution (in any field) would be of help. In addition, the person shall be expected to possess the necessary leadership capability skills.

  • At least 4 years of experience in an FMCG handling large number of SKUs preferably with a manufacturing site sufficient to demonstrate understanding of product differentiations and manufacturing constraints/implications.

  • Effective use of SAP (Material Management and general stock management in SAP).Familiarity with ERP systems and understanding of internal information flows.

  • Good understanding of inventory management.

  • Good knowledge of materials identification and blend recipe.

  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, work independently and deliver according to defined deadlines.

  • Computer literacy sufficient to be able to analyse and report data

  • Sound Knowledge of Word processing, Spreadsheet and power point.
