Expertise in analytical modeling and analysis of tooling concepts and design using simulation tools such as Auto Desk Moldflow, Moldx3D Expert
Drive analytical modeling and analysis of plastic Injection and blowing molding tooling concepts and design. Identify potential new tooling concepts and processes.
Apply knowledge of plastics and material science to support the development of critical components from resin to finished product
Hands on material analysis, prototype development and testing
Create, revise drawings and apply GD&T as needed
Develop and optimize secondary operations such as ultrasonic welding, laser welding, surface enhancements,
Installation and startup of development or production equipment
Standard PPE will be provided
Engineering Designs and Analysis with an emphasis in structural foam plastic injection molded parts, processes, and tooling
Skills & Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in science or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum of 3 -5 years cognate experience in Plastic Production
Knowledge of scientific decoupled molding, material trials and high precision metrology
Proficient with the use of Design For Manufacturing, SPC, DOE and Six Sigma techniques
