Job Description




  • Oversee the overall financial reporting for the organisation, which will include monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and all statutory financial reporting

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, treasury, payroll, financial and management accounting functions

  • Manage, report and reconcile all intercompany costs

  • Present financial results and insights to stakeholders, Senior Management and the Board

  • Manage and oversee the tax affairs of the organization and liaise with external tax agencies and authorities for specialist advice

  • Business investment appraisal and analysis

  • Risk Management to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place

  • Provide sound financial support and insights to enable the organization make critical business decisions

  • Handle cost management and recommend cost-reducing solutions

  • Supervise a team of accountants

  • Research and analyze financial reports and market trends

  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

  • Understand and comply with financial regulations and legislation

  • Year-end audit preparation


REQUIREMENTS



  • A degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting

  • 10 years’ relevant experience with not less than 4 years in senior management

  • Hands-on experience in preparing financial reports

  • MBA or Master’s degree in finance or Member of Chartered Institute of

  • Taxation (CITN) will be an advantage

  • Experience from an HMO will be an added advantage

  • Must be a chartered accountant i.e. ICAN/ ACCA

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles

  • Proficiency in accounting ERPs (SAGE, QuickBooks, SAP etc.)
