Job Summary

• The Senior Accountant is responsible for cost and project accounting, analysis and reporting, pricing decision analysis, Product GPM profitability analysis and reporting, overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Understand and prepare product GPM and profitability analysis and report


• Provide cost control oversight and prepare financial forecast on all projects


• Authorize outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures


• Understand general knowledge of project cost accounting and Work-in-Process


• Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project, time sheets for work related to a project and overhead charges to be applied to a project.


• Input project subcontractor and other-direct-cost invoices


• Ensure client approval of invoices and timely payment


• Compile, store and retrieves data


• Participate in regular team meetings to help identify process flow improvements and efficiencies


• Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy


• Close out project accounts upon project completion.

Educational Qualification

• BSc Degree in Accounting, or any Finance related field


• Professional certifications (e.g. ICAN or ACCA) will be preferred


• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages


• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant.

As the Senior Accountant, you'll need to show:

• Strong communication, writing and organizational skills.


• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like SAGE and/or SAP


• In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)


• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments concurrently


• Positive attitude who has a demonstrated track record of being a team player on a highly interdependent team.
