- Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to access accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
- Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Prepares amortization of all provisions, prepayments and unpaid bills.
- Presents a monthly performance report.
- Prepares a monthly Bank reconciliation statement.
- Assist in managing cost to client through the re-use of existing assets.
- Institutionalize appropriate tracking of all management/maintenance expenses related to the company’s assets
- Ensure the reduction or elimination of accounts receivables.
- Develop and document a comprehensive "know your vendor" policy covering surveillance procedures and minimum vendor acceptance criteria.
- Manage all statutory compliance, interface with external bodies on financial matters (banks, finance outfits, Tax agencies- FIRS and LIRS, PFA, State & LGA, Estate Association, LAWMA) etc.
Experience, Knowledge and Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related discipline with;
- Minimum of Three (3) years related experience and/or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of some Accounting software’s like QuickBooks, SAGE, SAP etc.
