Description 

• We are looking for an astute Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.

Job Responsibilities

• To oversee purchases and develop new contracts


• Procure high -quality and cost-efficient supplies for the business


• Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for goods and services without sacrificing quality and delivery time


• Nurtures relationship with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the business.


• Asses current material availability, reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems and other variables.


• Prepares plans for the purchase of items, equipment, services and supplies


• Drafts, explains and implements instructions, policies and procedures for purchasing and contract management


• Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors and suppliers


• Maintains or implements purchasing and recordkeeping systems


• Reviewing, comparing, analyzing and approving products and services to be purchased


• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records


• Maintaining and supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc


• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers


• Prepare budgets, costs analyses and reports.


• Perform other functions as assigned

Other Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields


• At least 3 years in furniture / manufacturing-related field


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software


• Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to efficiently train others


• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.


• Knowledge of data analysis and report writing


• Ability to quickly grasp concepts and gain product knowledge


• The ability to work under pressure
