The managing director's responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans and company policies, maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders, and driving organizational success.
The managing director will manage and advance the company’s strategic objectives and drive the company's strategic vision and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
- Provide market insights and strategic advice.
- Establish company policies and guidelines.
- Implement effective product selection, pricing, distribution, inventory and promotional policies.
- Plan and implement cost-effective operations and market development activities.
- Develop and implement business plans to improve cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relations with business partners, OEMs, shareholders, and authorities.
- Oversee the company's business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures.
- Ensure performance appraisal, training and professional development activities.
- Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated.
- Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations.
- Building and enhancing the company's public profile at events, speaking engagements, etc.
- Further develop and enhance company culture.
- Prepare and present reports for board meetings.
- Ensure a positive working environment.
- Build long-term relationships across the industry.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Master (e.g. MBA) preferred.
- Extensive experience as a managing director or in a similar leadership role.
- Experience in the mobile retail industry will be an advantage.
- In depth knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Able to excel in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across multiple locations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
