Job Description



  • We are looking for a parts manager with attention to detail to be responsible for managing inventory. The parts manager ensures that parts or supplies needed for production are available for workers.


Responsibilities



  • Monitor inventory levels.

  • Order parts in advance.

  • Source new suppliers that are cheaper or have better quality parts.

  • Examine parts for defects.

  • Take inventory of stock and replenish when needed.

  • Use knowledge of machines and equipment to discuss the use and features of parts.

  • Look up stock numbers and prices for parts in catalogs or on computers.

  • Maintains professional appearance.

  • Updating and maintaining inventory register online.

  • Review Purchase Requisitions.

  • Arranging the warehouse/store.

  • Cary out other duties as assigned by management periodically.


Requirements



  • B.Sc / HND qualification in relevant field.

  • 2 - 4 years experience in Procurement of Automotive/vehicle spare parts

  • Must have strongmanagement skills.

  • Must be Technically sound with adequate understanding of automobile engineering.

  • Abilityto use excel to compute stock level and know when to order considering lead time

  • Prior experience in a relevant field such as Marineor the automotive industry.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of inventory monitoring practices.

  • Previous automotive parts trade experience

  • Knowledge and experience of parts operations

  • Product and general automotive business knowledge

  • Proven customer handling skills.

  • Potential for developing management skills.
