Job Details

• The Automation Engineer will be under the supervision of the Project manager, working on the designs and execution of projects.


• Follow-up and closeout prospective projects and manage new and existing dealers.

Key Reponsibilities

• Prepare a design for Home Automation systems which is cost-effective and meets customer requirements.


• Designs include solutions for Light Control, Distributed / Zoned Audio, Distributed Vides, Intercom, Intrusion Detection, MATV, PBX telephones system, CCTV, Access Control, Network Infrastructure (UTP / Fiber).


• Prepare pricing sheet and financial proposal including Bill of Quantities of all proposed products and their respective costs.


• Installation and Configuration of home automation equipment.


• Liaising and following up with other stakeholders to ensure the execution of projects


• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes


• Using computer-aided design and engineering software to create project plans such as Visio


• Undertaking relevant research


• Creating and updating technical procedures and manuals


• Applying creative solutions to a wide array of challenges


• Writing Reports and Documentation.

Requirements

Educational Qualification:

• BSc / BA in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or any related field

Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of experience as an Automation Engineer.


• Knowledge of the Control4 Home Automation system will be an added advantage.


• Knowledge of computer and equipment networking.

Skills and Abilities:

• Skilled in creative problem solving, critical thinking, and organizing resources, and people to solve problems


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to motivate others toward a common goal


• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements


• A passion for consumer electronics


• Ability to easily assimilate and understands several technology areas


• Proven ability to work with people of varied backgrounds to achieve objectives


• Possess solid business judgement in assessing business


• Experience working with Channel Influencers (Architects, Lighting Designers, Interior Decorators)


• Team Player with impeccable interpersonal skills, to build relationships and influence


• Knowledge of automation systems such as Control4, Crestron, etc. would be an added advantage.
