Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the use of best facility management practices to manage resources, services, and processes that meet the needs of the company
- Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency and ensure a safe working environment without downtime
- Oversee building projects, renovations or refurbishments, and relocations
- Allocate and manage space in the facilities
- Use best business practices to manage operation costs whilst creating a budget for various facility needs and expenses
- Compare costs for various services before choosing the best options for the facility
- Vendor Management: choose and obtain quotes from vendors; also manage existing vendors and contractors
- Develop and implement a facility management program including preventive maintenance and life cycle requirements
- Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and safety standards; payment of government levies as at when due
- Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facilities
- Conduct regular facility inspections; report and make proper recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical related field
Experience:
- At least 2 years of work experience.
Other Requirements:
- Sound experience in structural work, building maintenance, and budgeting
- Proven experience in project management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills; including great attention to detail
- Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Ethical and trustworthy.
