Job Description



We are looking for a Poultry Manager to perform a variety of duties, such as collecting and candling eggs, feeding and vaccinating poultry, crating and shipping fryers, and cleaning and fumigating chicken houses. Directs maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, such as chicken houses, automatic feeders, and layer nests.


Main Responsibilities



  • You will be responsible for preparing and administering work orders.

  • Ensuring work orders are completed on time and within budget.

  • Ensuring all workers are trained on the proper use and handling of chemicals and equipment.

  • Interviewing, hiring, evaluating performance, and administering disciplinary actions.

  • Overseeing employee and food safety programs.

  • Ensuring achievement of productivity and efficiency

  • Conferring with management personnel to establish quality control standards.

  • Planning and directing processing activities, establishing processing priorities for products, coordinating processing activities with procurement and maintenance, and consulting with engineering personnel relative to the modification of machines.

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in raising poultry, collecting eggs, crating fryers, and maintaining equipment and facilities on the poultry farm.

  • Ascertain production requirements and discuss the condition of equipment and status of supplies.


Qualifications & Professional Experience



  • Current or previous experience working within the poultry industry.

  • A strong interest in and understanding of the Agricultural & Farming sector.

  • Excellent management skills.

  • 5-8 years of relevant working experience in the field.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science, Animal or Poultry Science, or Food Science.
