Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Manage design projects from concept development through to completion, preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications and construction documents

  • Supervise and project manage site works and activities

  • Manage Artisan, masons and as well as other subcontractors

  • Manage procurement of materials, cost analysis and bill of quantity

  • Compile feasibility reports, determine environmental impact, create project proposals, estimate costs, determine timelines and oversee construction processes.

  • Assist in designing and implementing business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of set goals

  • Work with other members to coordinate preliminary architectural studies for major new structures and alterations to existing structures and site development

  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions, working with teams across business lines

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, engineers to ensure that aspects such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as structural supports are properly incorporated into the designed structures.

  • Comply with safety standards and local planning regulation and gain permit for all construction projects

  • Manage and provide support by matching and setting up agreements between clients and contractors

  • Handle documentations as it concerns projects

  • Manage the day to day activities on sites.

  • Any other duties as assigned.


Requirements and skills



  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree (Second class Upper division) in Engineering, Building Science or relevant field with at least 4 years relevant work experience.

  • Proven experience as construction project Officer

  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles

  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

  • Good knowledge of MS Office

  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • A team player with leadership abilities

  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage as construction project manager
