As the Gender Advisor, you will work closely with the project team to increase the capacity of local partners to develop different training tools and policies related to Gender Equality.

As a volunteer, you will:

• Use your skills and expertise, develop a gender action plan in line with the local context to advance gender equality.


• Support the review of GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) policy and strategic plan documents.


• Support the implementation of Gender intervention/activities.


• Support with mainstreaming of GESI into every program activity and plan.


• Support with GESI capacity building and transfer of knowledge to team members.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant areas (Social Sciences, International Development)


• Relevant certificates/diplomas in Gender Studies

Essential Background:

• At least 2 years of experience working on Gender and social inclusion-related projects


• Experience in developing and implementing GESI programs for developing countries


• Excellent oral and writing skills


• Ability to work on own initiatives

Start Date: May 2023

Placement Length: 6 Months

Language Requirements: English Level 4-Advanced
