Job Description



JOB OBJECTIVE



  • This role is responsible for liaising with the Hotel management and the Board to ensure the profitability and efficiency of the hotel, compliance with the necessary industry’s practices and regulatory requirements as well as sound financial practice.

  • The vary responsibilities include performing in-depth financial analysis, researching the market, drive business growth, ensuring sustainable businesses practices, monitoring trading trends and provide effective monitoring and responses for deviations.

This should list if the person will be responsible/or Opex, Capex, Volumes associated with job such as large customer accounts and possible loss/impact on the company if an error occurs.

Strategy and Brand Management    



  • Contributes to the formation of the Business Strategy and ensures that all financial policies, procedures and systems are sound

  • Ensuring financial performance of the hotels as an investment asset.

  • Ensure measurable indicators to ascertain the value and profitability of Hotel

  • Develop a comprehensive Investor Relations framework and strategy.

  • Drive the Marketing of the Hotel Facilities

  • Fostering and driving the hotels overall performance and revenue generation


Budget & Cost Management



  • Facilitate Budgeting Process with all relevant Stakeholders

  • Drive adherence to cost frameworks


Budgeting and financial management



  • Plan, monitor and control Admin Budget

  • Focus on results and Waste Reduction.

  • Use local knowledge to assist operator in managing costs and driving sales.


Cost optimization



  • Ensure efficient and effective utilization of company resources without sacrificing quality, to achieve its strategic priorities

  • Proactively conduct periodic business intelligence and analytics to serve as a catalyst to supporting business operations and decisions.


Contract & Service Management



  • Get familiar with the terms of the contract between owner and operator.

  • Ensure that both parties are working within the contract, and ensure covenants between the owner and the operator are being monitored and updated.

  • Managing the co-ordination between the Business Owner and operating party ensuring compliance of the Operator’s agreement and KPIs.

  • Drive standardization of services across all hotel interphases in all locations


Relationship Management



  • Drive standardization of services across all hotel interphases in all locations

  • Build and maintain a powerful reputation through clear and consistent two-way communication

  • Participate in the hospitality industry meetings and also handle all community issues affecting the activities of the Hotel.

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders including positive relationship between Operator and Owners.

  • Provide market insights to the Executive management team, including financial trends, shareholder concerns, competitor actions, and anything that might impact the wellbeing of the hotel.

  • Participating in executive meetings at the hotel to ensure that quality sales and marketing decisions are carried out


Management Function



  • Signatory to hotel Accounts

  • Approval role on finance application

  • Prepare necessary documents for the Director’s reports to the Board on the operations of the hotels.

  • Reports and Corporate Services Analytics

  • Provide overall reports to the Board

  • Work closely with Sales/Client teams

  • Outline clear performance goals for brand awareness and revenue generation activities.

  • Asset management and monitoring of performances and writing reports on them


Qualifications


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOUR (Required to succeed in Role)


Educational qualifications & functional / technical skills    



  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; and MBA would be an advantage.

  • Attitude and behavioral traits

  • 10+ years of experience with a strong record of building positive long-term relations with Equity Research analysts and the investors.

  • Someone who is entrepreneurial in orientation, as well as having a client-5ervice mentality; must be able to excel under pressure, as well as meet short deadlines. Possesses excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft powerful and engaging messages that inspire others.

  • Strong budget and management skills, including proven ability to project/process manage

  • High degree of professionalism, maturity , customer centricity and confidentiality

  • Very good interpersonal and presentation skills,

  • Strong People skills- Building Collaborative Relationships, Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills

  • Strong oral and written interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice and input across the company and on the executive team.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to deal with tight timelines, multiple priorities, and constantly changing environment
