Job Brief



  • The General Manager (Finance) Financial will be responsible for the financial health of the organization by creating accurate data analysis and advising senior management on profit-maximizing ideas to ensure long-term success.


Responsibilities



  • Supporting Management in setting the Company's strategic plan for growth and business objectives and preparation of the Company's annual and long-term financial strategies.

  • Ensuring availability of funds required for the Company's operations, managing relationships with Financial Institutions and sourcing of funds at optimum prices and lowest risk.

  • Coordinate and ensure the accurate preparation of the Company's Financial Statements, Budgets and Management Reports for monthly, quarterly and annual review of performance.

  • Maintaining adequate records of the Company's financial transactions to show and explain the Company's transactions and financial positions.

  • Protecting the Company's margins through control of operational costs, maximizing income, and assisting Management to achieve its Earnings objectives.

  • Ensuring the adequacy of Information Technology and communication systems and the effectiveness of internal control and administrative systems to safeguard the company's assets and achieve organizational efficiency.

  • Provide oversight and Management for the Company’s Administrative and security services.


Requisite Qualification



  • First Degree in Accounting or related area of study

  • Professional Qualification from a recognized Accounting Body (FCA, CA/ACCA)

  • Minimum of 8 years work experience including:

    • Senior management track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry as per relevant role

    • 3 years’ experience in relevant industry/sector



  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous)

  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies

  • Experience in using analytical techniques to interpret data

  • Commercial acumen/insights


Skills & Competencies:



  • Good communication skills both oral or written

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrate skill in the use of Microsoft office

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to lead a team to deliver great results.
