Job Summary

• We are searching for Civil Engineers with a high level of integrity to supervise the ongoing NIFES Building Construction Project by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff. Successful candidates will be employed by and will work directly with The Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES) Lagos Zone.

General Duties

• Coordination of and supervision of workers.


• Provide schedules for workers.


• Assign tasks to construction labourers.


• Liaise with contractors, managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties remain coordinated.


• Translate blueprints into plans.


• Organizing the equipment and manpower necessary to complete the project.


• Responsible for maintaining safety and quality standards.


• Keeping detailed records of construction site activities.


• Make necessary provisions for receiving supplies on site.


• Carrying out tasks assigned by your Line Manager.


• Prepare/send weekly reports of work/activities to the Line Manager.


• Send the lists of workers and staff on site and daily task reports to the assigned personnel.


• Set targets for workers based on the work scope and plan the work for them every week.

Qualifications and Background

• Minimum of HND in Civil Engineering.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience post-NYSC.


• Experience working in a building construction company.


• Good attention to detail.


• Critical thinking.


• Ability to think creatively.


• Good leadership skills.


• Highly organised and detail-oriented.


• Excellent written and Verbal communication skills.


• Experience in Project Management.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


• Certifications in Engineering bodies of Nigeria is an advantage.
