This role involves leading the marketing and growth efforts of the organisation to meet strategic goals and objectives.
The Marketing and Growth Lead will be responsible for designing, developing and executing strategies and activities that increase market positioning, share and growth. Leading and managing teams, relationships and stakeholders that further the growth objectives of the organisation.
Responsibilities
Strategic
Craft strategies for all Marketing including Digital, Advertising, Communications and Creatives.
Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing department.
Set, monitor and report on team goals.
Design branding, positioning and pricing strategies.
Set the marketing direction including brand strategy, positioning and go-to-market plans.
Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material).
Analyze consumer behavior and determine customer personas.
Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features).
Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives.
Operational
Build a marketing and growth system based on data, automation and customer feedback.
Create marketing systems for all products that produce steady flow of inbound enquiries for sales team. Build sales systems like funnels, landing pages etc.
Co-create, manage, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging SEO, social, inbound marketing, email, mail/print campaigns and events( physical and virtual) to drive customer acquisition.
Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and convert customers.
Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience (including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, infographics, etc.).
Build and manage an events (physical and virtual) calendar that attracts a qualified audience (including webinars, elearning, training, workshops, conferences).
Writing and delivering content and social media plans, email marketing and social media content.
Conduct customer, competitor, and product research.
Create monthly reports containing a robust description of monthly activity, suitable advice and recommendations and a clear summary of performance against the key performance indicators and metrics.
Track effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the executive team.
Propose new and improved inbound marketing campaign ideas.
Execute on a clear strategy that quantifiably demonstrates a path towards growing our accounts month-over-month.
Select and manage CRM tool. Manage and grow customer database.
Identify potential partners to improve brand positioning and growth. Manage partnerships to ensure positive business impact.
Partner with the Operations and Sales team members to research areas of focus for the company, and develop and optimize assets to fuel growth marketing initiatives.
Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness.
Oversee partnerships with third parties to manage performance marketing campaigns.
Help build a high performing team of B2B and B2C marketing and sales professionals.
Monitor ecosystem and online communities and ensure feedback mechanisms are in place and maximised.
Negotiate and liaise with third-party marketing agencies.
Develop and execute the marketing budget, ensuring the budget spend is delivering a return on investment.
Manage the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites and brochures, email marketing etc.
Oversee the company’s attendance and participation at events, such as trade shows and conferences.
Requirements
Strategic thinking.
Ability to see and communicate the big picture in a way that inspires your team and stakeholders.
Leadership experience; knowing how to grow brand awareness and product adoption like the back of your hand.
Creativity and data-driven mentality. Use of numbers to drive your decision-making, but having an eye for design.
Comfortable setting up structure, systems and documenting how work, setting up processes, identifying weaknesses and thereafter proactively leading by example by using the systems and ensuring adherence to it.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B and/ Marketing.
BA in Marketing, Branding, or similar; or equivalent experience.
Experience activating social media and paid marketing channels
Ability to build simple yet complete marketing budgets and plans from limited historical data
Background working with and/or managing outsourced marketing and design teams or agencies
Excellent verbal and written communication, and cross-functional skills to collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product teams.
Experience working at startups or high growth businesses
Tech and data-savvy with the ability to jump in Google Analytics, WordPress, Airtable, or even Excel and tell a story with sound data.
