Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Software development manager with valuable experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for;

• Consulting with management and software development team to determine software solution requirements.


• Management of the software development team as well as the organization’s software development projects.

• Demonstrating patience and using effective explanations when mentoring members of the software development team.


• Designing database, software and network architectures


• Writing clean, efficient & functional codes using both front- and back-end technologies


• Managing the development, deployment, and integration of software solutions.


• Reviewing, testing and debugging team members’ code


• Determining system specifications and analyzing test stage data prior to software installation.


• Managing the installation and configuration of software solutions.


• Collaborating with front end users on software functionality.


• Resolving software deployment and integration errors, and documenting processes.


• Performing routine maintenance and monitoring performance metrics.


• Keeping abreast of new software technologies, as well as conforming to best practices in cybersecurity.


• Deliver high-quality testable, secure, readable, and documented software with a focus on the clients.


• Daily reports to management on progress of all software projects.

Qualifications/Skills Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, information technology, or similar.


• Master's degree in a related field preferred.


• 5-7 years working experience as a software project manager or a senior full-stack software developer with substantial project portfolio.


• Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.


• Experience with software development and team management is a major requirement


• Experience in developing industry-standard REST Application Programming Interface (API)


• In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as Java (Springboot Framework), ASP .Net, NodeJS etc.


• Excellent knowledge of frontend and scripting languages such as Angular, Reactjs, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, bootstrap, CSS3, and HTML5.


• Excellent knowledge of relational databases such as MYSQL and NOSQL Database technologies such as MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis


• Experience using docker and Kubernetes containers


• Excellent knowledge of CI/CD pipelines


• Excellent knowledge of microservices


• Can easily learn new technologies as required.


• Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.


• Knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.


• Ability to keep up with software industry trends and innovation.


• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable

• Prior Non-governmental work experience in health programs.


• Project Management certifications.
