The ideal candidate who will be reporting to the directors and partners must be able to:
- Build financial models in excel based on historical information and other available industry-specific operating metrics.
- Conduct scenario analysis based on microeconomic and macroeconomic factors to access business risk.
- Evaluate companies using various financial valuation methods, such as DCF, comparable company analysis, capital structure analysis etc.
- Ensure the new models' accuracy while enhancing the existing models' quality.
- Recommend and implement process improvement measures.
- Identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise on how to mitigate those risks.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis with the intent to support investment activities.
- Update the financial models after each earnings rollout or other similar corporate actions.
- Analyse and identify data required to support model tracking.
Qualifications and Experience
- A good First Degree from any reputable institution
- ACA / ACCA is a must, while other professional qualifications will be an added advantage
- Age not more than 35 years with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in Audit & Financial Modelling
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications with special reference to Advanced Excel Packages is required
- Certification in Financial Modelling and Valuation is an advantage Must be familiar with key Accounting Packages and Auditing Tools
- Must be multi-talented, adaptable to change, and proficient with proven written and oral communication skills
- Hands-on experience of auditing in a reputable audit assurance firms will be an added advantage.
