Role and responsibilities
- Line management for CC (core competencies) project Coordinators in the area;
- Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures;
- Responsible for grant opening meetings and grant closing meetings at area level;
- Provide area-specific input relevant for CC strategies;
- Ensure compliance to donor standards, grant management and regular reporting to the donor in the area;
- Identify funding opportunities and develop an area funding strategy along with forecasts for the area;
- Responsible for grant opening meetings and grant closing meetings at area level;
- Ensure compliance with contractual commitments, extract and implement key learnings from project implementation in the area;
- Ensure capacity building of all technical staff;
- Contribute to the development of area and CC strategies, initiate and participate in the development of relevant CCs projects.
Professional competencies
- Minimum 3 years’ experience from a management position in a humanitarian/ recovery context;
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts;
- Core competency expertise on distribution/ cash and voucher;
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
- Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior-level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context (preferred).
- Knowledge of the context in Plateau State
