The Factory Manager will manage and grow an existing small team and establish full-time operations seven days a week for the production and packaging of pasteurised milk, Greek-style yoghurt and other products in the pipeline.
He/she will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of factory operations and performance.
He/she will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner consistent with global food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible and accountable for all factory operations and performance aspects.
You will oversee daily factory operations.
Use his/her best endeavours to promote, protect, develop and extend the business of the Company.
Ensure that the objectives of the Company are attained cost-effectively and adhere to food safety and quality standards.
Compile and manage production plans according to Company production targets.
Create annual and quarterly budgets for factory operations to meet Company production and performance targets.
Prepare a periodic production report for management at the beginning of every week.
Compile monthly reports on performance, health and food safety and budget adherence
Ensure the accuracy of monitoring systems.
Minimise input, packaging, and finished product waste to near-zero levels.
Optimise fixed and overhead costs (labour and energy) against demand forecast and production requirements.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of data collection and recording for compilation of reports and documentation.
Maximise capacity utilisation following the Company's strategic targets.
Create and manage preventative maintenance programs for all factory equipment.
Plan and implement changes required for new product manufacturing, ensuring minimum disruption to existing operations.
Maintain food safety, manufacturing and quality systems including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health Safety and Environment (HSE).
Ensure continuous compliance with food safety, manufacturing and quality regulations and best practices
Manage, oversee and coordinate shifts, production line operators, lab technicians and other required personnel.
Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with Field Operations, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Maintenance & Distribution and Sales & Marketing Departments to ensure efficient operations and delivery of excellent customer service.
Work with the People and Culture department to plan annual human resource capacity and development needs, and fill vacancies according to Company policies by using competency-based recruitment methodologies.
Develop routine training programs in collaboration with the People & Culture team
Comply with all reasonable and lawful directions given by the Company.
Train and, where necessary, cause the training of a Nigerian member of his/her team to ensure that such member can step into his/her role as Factory Manager within twelve to eighteen months of assuming the role.
Build, train and grow a young and inexperienced team at Câm’s new factory and establish seven days a week operations for the production and packaging of dairy products.

Role requirements:
Degree in Food Technology/Science or related field, including food engineering, packaging, business or production facilities
International experience in dairy manufacturing
Experience using continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements for food processing factories, including NAFDAC regulations
Food Safety certification (e.g. HACCP, SQF, GMP, ISO 22000)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and G Suite
Knowledge of dairy processing equipment and troubleshooting
