Job Description

• Leads the business analytics & solution development teams and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members


• Build solutions to address pressing business challenges and further extend the banks automation drive


• Lead the business through all efforts that drive performance and potential by using existent and new data sources


• Design and develop data solutions that support business requirements and enable data-driven decision-making


• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and develop solutions


• Ensure that data solutions are well-documented, tested, and deployed in a timely manner


• Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data solution development and recommend new tools and solutions as appropriate


• Lead multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing stakeholder relationships


• Develop and apply analytical algorithms and methods to business problems


• Identify and address operational, financial and technological risks within the bank using data


• Evaluate the performance of project teams withing DAO to ensure that targets and deadlines are met


• Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep stakeholders up to date on DAO project progress


• Strive to improve the quality of analytics solutions delivered on a consistent basis.


• Define the business questions that need be answered and define appropriate analytics algorithms/models to answer identified questions


• Collaborate with the Head, Artificial Intelligence & Insights to identify and make ready relevant data platforms and solutions for the Bank


• Take initiative in developing training programs for improving the business understanding of the use of data, which improves decision-making across the business.


• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods, tools and techniques


• Extending the bank’s data with third party sources of information when needed


• Supervise the design of new analytics products/platforms and evaluating how these will meet user requirements


• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytics platforms


• Collaborate with product management and customer experience function to understand the bank’s tactical focus and devise possible solutions


• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO)

Requirements

• Minimum education level – Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field.


• At least 7 years of experience in software development, data engineering, and data analytics


• Strong aptitude for performing a dual role of providing data solutions and business analysis


• Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship


• building skills & communication skills


• Understanding of Indices, fundamentals and analytical data, returns level data etc


• Solid skills in data mapping, data translation, impact identification, process design, and documentation.


• Familiar with large databases and working knowledge of SQL
