Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.

  • Develop recommendations for product offerings, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and valuations.

  • Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations and pitchbooks.

  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients to expand the business.

  • Perform due diligence, research analysis (economic outlook, sector report, equity note, Daily market report) and documentation of transactions.

  • Create presentations for client portfolios.

  • Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news.

  • Understand and maintain all existing models related to assigned sector and market coverage.

  • Initiate new models that the unit does not currently have and other relevant models for analysing Nigeria's macroeconomic conditions.

  • Contribute to the halfyearly and quarterly strategy and outlook reports.

  • Produce periodic macroeconomics and investmentrelated reports for domestic and offshore based investors.

  • Produce insightful reports on new policies and/or initiatives from the FGN, CBN, DMO, and other economic managers.

  • Participate in the company's roadshows, conference calls, and telemarketing.

  • Complete and respond to bespoke and adhoc client requests.


Knowledge/Skills



  • Possess a thorough understanding of key investments strategies for capital allocation, financial modelling, and valuation metrics

  • Strong research background with knowledge of capital markets, equity market.


Minimum Qualification/ Experience:



  • Five or more years of experience in a finance or business background, particularly on the quantitative side

  • B.Sc. or master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Possession of relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIBN, CIS and other relevant certifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work cross functionally to drive business initiatives

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, teambased environment with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and networking skills.

  • Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.

  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.

  • Strong financial modelling skills.
